Chinese New Year Wow Day

We started our new topic ‘Our wonderful World’ with a WOW day learning about Chinese New Year. The children listened to the story of how each year is named, made puppets and acted out the story. We learnt about the customs of Chinese New Year. The children made money packets and learnt about Chinese writing. We also made lanterns and dragons and tasted popular food from China. Some children used green screen activities to give their photographs a chinese background. It was a fun way to come back to school.
