The Writing Club started on Friday 7 October with 20 Year Three and Four pupils enthusiastically in attendance. We started with a writing game (how many words can you make out of the letters in ‘Writing Club’), moving on to making up a character, either a new pupil or a new teacher, based on the character-writing of Roald Dahl. Each week we shall play a writing game, then move on to a piece of writing, including poetry. The aim is to give them a desire to write and to improve both their creative flair and accuracy.
