We had a great day at Westonbirt for our learning. The ranger took us around and talked to us about the trees and the animals that live there. We looked for signs of Autumn and collected leaves and seeds. It was exciting to see the mole hole and the badger sett and some were lucky to see a deer. We were given some nature challenges. First we had to hide and bury a conker. We then had to build a home putting a toy badger inside which had a pot of very warm water inside it. We played a game about what happens if all the trees were cut down and how important it is to plant new trees. We then had to check on our badgers. The water temperature was taken again to see who had built the best home keeping the badger warm the best. At the end of our session we had to try and remember where we had buried our conker like the squirrels do. After lunch we had a play in the trees before it was time to go home.
