The School Prayer From Wells

The school Prayer that the children wrote together which was read in the Cathedral during the closing ceremony.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank-you for our school where everyone feels welcome and not left out. Thank-you for the beautiful surroundings that you have created, for the trees and the wild animals that we are lucky enough to see around our school site. Thank-you for the fun times we have had especially wow days, trips out, visitors and dressing up days. Thank-you for sharing your beautiful church with us where we have our assemblies. Please make us never forget how lucky we are to have had these special times and help us to appreciate the fun times and celebratory assemblies that we have taken part in. Thank-you for our teachers who help us learn, keep us safe and help us achieve goals. Also for our friends who keep us happy. Please keep our First School and our friends there safe when we move on.

As we move on to our new schools help us to make new friends and learn new skills which will set us up for our future lives. We hope that in our new schools we will continue to take part in sports with other schools where we can make new friends. Help us to be kind to others in our new school and let them be kind to us.

Thank-you for all the good times, and the less good times, without which we would not understand life. Help us remember as we travel on through life that you will always be there when we need you.

Amen
