In RE this term the children in Rabbits and Squirrels class have been looking at the topic; Why are some places in our community special? We chose to look at St Aldhelm’s Well in Frome at St John’s Church and the well dressing that takes place each year. The theme this year was Water of Life’ and both classes enjoyed decorating a panel for the ceremony. It represents the story of Jesus asking the Samaritan woman for a drink from Jacob’s well.
A Well Dressing service was held on St Aldhelm’s Saturday the 25th May and some of the teachers and pupils joined the procession and service.
