Egyptian Day

Owls Class Wow activity this term was an Ancient Egyptian day. In the morning they had a workshop from South West Heritage museum which included four activities; baking Egyptian bread, painting Scarabs, discovering artefacts and dressing up. It was an amazing morning with great facts being shared from everyone. The rest of the day was filled with learning hieroglyphics and creating a God/Goddess mask. Owls classed learnt the language of hieroglyphics, being able to spell their name and used papyrus like paper to write a secret message on it in hieroglyphics. The children designed their own God/Goddess and created a mask to wear, turning them into their new God/Goddess. It was a great day with lots to take home to share with everyone.
