Railway Safety
The whole school took part in an engaging railway safety presentation from Lewis Woodard, a parent at school. They learnt the key ways to stay safe when travelling near stations and train lines. Children explored the different hazards found around the rail network and discovered more about how various trains work and how fast they can travel.
What the children said:
- “I liked learning how fast the two trains could go.”
- “I liked seeing how many buttons you could press and what they do.”
- “Don’t touch the third rail because it can give you an electric shock.”
