Attitude to Gratitude
A Year 4 pupil wanted to help at the local charity shop supporting the homeless at Julian House, a charity for the homeless . Although he wasn’t old enough to volunteer, the shop suggested he could make a Christmas card for someone to receive on Christmas Day.
He came to Mrs Hirons with his mum and asked if the whole class could join in to show gratitude for our homes, our families, and the fact that we are safe and warm on this special day.
We loved the idea! He spoke to every class, and together we decided that everyone would make a card.
Thanks to his kindness and leadership, over 50 beautiful cards were delivered to Julian House to bring joy to those in need this Christmas.
He also recieved a certificate for being their youngest volunteer.
