Whole School Trip to Weymouth

Exploring SEA LIFE Centre Weymouth

During our whole-school visit to the SEA LIFE Centre in Weymouth, pupils had the opportunity to discover a fascinating range of marine creatures from around the world. Children explored the exhibits with great enthusiasm, learning about sharks, rays, turtles, penguins and many other sea animals. The visit provided a wonderful hands-on learning experience, helping pupils to develop their understanding of marine habitats, conservation and the importance of protecting our oceans. It was fantastic to see their curiosity and excitement as they observed the animals up close.

Beach Kindness

As part of the day, pupils also enjoyed time on Weymouth beach taking part in a special kindness activity. Children searched for the perfect stone, which they then decorated with colourful designs. The painted stones were left for others to find, spreading a little happiness to visitors and members of the local community. It was a lovely opportunity to combine creativity, reflection and kindness while making the most of the beautiful seaside setting. One of our children used his bucket to collect litter and bits of netting he found around where we were sitting. Looking after our world is very important to children at Berkley School.
