Wells Cathedral Visit

Year 4 travelled to Wells cathedral as Pilgrims. We took part in a welcome Act of Worship and then we had tours of the cathedral. We made Pilgrim boxes decorated with shells to remind us of the pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostello, we made shell bookmarks and took part in drumming workshops. We saw a mime artist who mimed the story of the lost sheep and then we went back to the cathedral for the final Act of Worship.

We carried our dove banner and collected a candle which we will use in class Acts of Worship. Izzy read our class Pilgrim prayer.

You may wonder why there are pictures of two people lifting a holdall – that is because Josh was inside the holdall as part of the story about what we take on a journey!!! It was very funny.
