Rabbits and Squirrels class very much enjoyed the Indian Dance and Diya painting workshops from The Education Group. The Diya Painting Workshop was a fun and hands on cultural arts experience, providing a great way for the children to learn and enjoy Diwali celebrations (The Hindu festival of light). The workshop involved every child decorating their own Indian Diya lamp. They were very excited to take them home to share with their families.
The children, and some of the adults, joined in enthusiastically with the Bollywood dancing. They learnt the hand movements for the Deer, the Loin face and Salutation as well as the steps.The day was filled with the vibrancy and colours of the subcontinent.
